Privacy Notice

What information Useful Mint currently receives and how future analytics, email, and referral collection must be disclosed.

Effective date: September 11, 2026.

Current site data

Useful Mint's hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser metadata, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. Useful Mint does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies.

Anonymous analytics

We group referring sites into search, AI assistant, same-site, other, or direct/unknown categories to understand how readers reach a page. This classification uses fixed provider labels and does not collect search terms or conversations with AI assistants.

Useful Mint has selected PostHog for anonymous traffic and conversion measurement. The integration sends no data unless a PostHog project is configured in the production deployment. When active, it uses PostHog's always-on cookieless mode, which does not use cookies, local storage, or session storage and derives an anonymous, privacy-preserving identifier on PostHog's servers.

Collection is limited to page views and explicitly defined interaction or commercial events. Automatic click capture, session recording, heatmaps, surveys, exception capture, performance capture, and user profiles are disabled. PostHog may process the page path, fixed referrer categories, campaign labels, event timestamp, browser or device metadata, and technical request data required to receive an event.

The site's Light, Dark, or System appearance choice is stored in local browser storage under the key usefulmint-theme. This preference is used only to render the selected theme and is not sent to PostHog or treated as a demand, identity, or commercial signal.

Product-demand events

The starter guide saves only lesson identifiers and a format version underusefulmint-starter-lessons-v1 when you mark a lesson as read. This stays on your device and can be cleared from the course overview. Product facts entered in the first-lesson exercise stay in page memory and are cleared on refresh. They are not sent to our servers or analytics. Copying a prompt puts it on your device clipboard; pasting it into your own AI tool shares it under that provider’s policies. Course-start, prompt-copy clicks, and pricing links use only controlled action labels in analytics, never the prompt or product facts. These clicks do not establish a sale.

Useful Mint may measure controlled interactions such as starting a comparison, selecting a predefined criterion, completing a calculator, choosing a predefined problem signal, or clicking a service inquiry link. These events use stable labels rather than copied page text or raw form values. Full URL query strings, URL fragments, free-form search text, email addresses, and form contents are not sent to product analytics.

Commercial click events

Marked commercial links emit the merchant, source page, link position, affiliate sub-ID, and destination path. Query parameters are not included in the destination sent to analytics. These events are used to understand whether a page helps a reader reach a relevant merchant, not to build an identified advertising profile.

Checkout

When enabled, Standard checkout opens a hosted Creem page. Creem collects payment and billing details under its privacy policy. Useful Mint does not receive or store card details. Our payment records contain checkout and order identifiers, amounts, currency, payment/refund status, and notification receipts. Raw notifications, names and email addresses are not stored in that payment database or sent to analytics.

Clicking checkout stores a random request reference in this browser tab's session storage to reuse the checkout on retry and check payment status. This is needed for checkout, not analytics, and normally expires when the tab closes. The payment status page disables analytics and removes payment parameters from its displayed URL. A checkout explicitly marked Test mode does not charge real money or deliver the package.

Forms and referrals

Useful Mint does not currently operate a public expert-referral form. Before such a form is enabled, it will state what information is collected, which provider may receive it, and what consent is required.
